• Thank you to all who expressed condolences about the loss of Robin’s mom, Grandma Gloria. We truly appreciated the outpouring of support and kindness.

• Results have finally been announced and… (drum roll please) …  Michelle passed the Ohio Bar Exam! Yeah!! We couldn’t be more proud.

Special Note:
Bubblefast will be closed on Monday, November 9. We’ll be in Ohio attending Michelle’s induction into the Bar Association. Any items ordered over this weekend will not be shipped until Tuesday. We sure hope you understand!!

• Jenny has been keeping busy with her Masters Program at University of Chicago. She goes to classes, does field work with teenage moms, will be starting a work study job next week and even joined the intramural dodge ball team. So far they’re 1-1 (the opposing team didn’t show up for the first game and most of her team didn’t show up for the second!). Our daughter, the athlete.

• Steven and Sara are both doing well in High School. Sara has gotten involved in a social service club at school and is preparing for a religious retreat weekend with her youth group. Steven’s latest adventure was carving out the inside of a pumpkin and wearing it on his head for Halloween. Pretty scary!

• Mark and Robin are looking forward to beginning our new association with the Chicago-area eBay Sellers Group. We will be attending our first event this week, a dinner with eBay’s Griff (Jim Griffith). On the physical front we’ve been able to take advantage of the beauty of autumn in the Midwest with several long hikes on the Des Plaines River Trail near our house. Won’t be too much longer until the trails are snow-packed and we go back into hibernation. We’re hoping for a few more nice weekends??

• Steven is having a rest stop, chillin’ at home for a few days before he heads back out for his last trip of the summer. So far he’s been to Pennsylvania, New York and Texas. Next stop, Indiana. He’s had an amazing summer tooling around the country with our Bubblefast neighbors, learning about floor installations, being part of a work crew and livin’ life on the road. Not bad for a 16 year old. What an amazing summer experience!

• Not to be outdone, Sara and Jenny are heading out of state as well. They leave next week for 6 action-packed, fun-filled days of overnight camp in Wisconsin. (Jenny as a counselor and Sara as a camper.) Nice change of pace for Sara who has spent most of the summer as a counselor-in-training at our local day camp. Can’t wait to hear the stories when they come home. Not sure which one is more likely to get into mischief!

• Michelle is staying put in Ohio, but her life is heading in new directions as well. She’s feeling lighter than air these days. Partly because of the amazing success of her get-in-shape regimen, but also because of the million pound weight that was just lifted off of her shoulders—the taking of the Bar Exam is behind her!! She starts a new job next week and her new post bar exam life is about to begin. We couldn’t be happier for her.

• Mark and Robin? We’re keeping the home fires warm, trying to keep track of everybody’s comings and goings. No big trips planned but we are pretty excited about going to our first Cub game of the season next week. We’re pretty big fans. You might hear us cheering wherever you are.

• We all had a great trip to Columbus last month for Michelle’s Law School graduation. 10 of us hit the road to see her collect 7 awards and certificates along with her diploma. She’s doing some part-time work but pretty much hibernating now getting ready for the bar exam in July.

• The next graduation is Sara’s – a few more days and she’ll be done with Middle School! Last week we went to her school to see her get a Presidential Academic Fitness Award. Way to go Sara! After graduation she’ll get a short break before she starts her summer adventures as a camp Counselor-in-Training.

• Steven is done with his sophomore year of High School. He just earned additional college credit for this year’s work in his Engineering course. How cool is that? We’re just a few days shy of his 16th birthday so if you live in Illinois – be on the lookout. He just may be getting his driver’s license within the next week or so. We’ll keep you posted. Looks like he’ll be spending at least some of his summer on the road getting to learn some of the carpet/flooring installation trade from some of our Bubblefast neighbors. He’s very excited about the opportunity.

• Jenny’s still working at our local water park, saving up money for grad school in the fall. If we stay up really late at night sometimes we even catch a glimpse of her.
