This was an interesting time for shipping. The prior month was the first time the Post office changed to dimensional weight for zones 5-8 for packages over 1 cu ft. It turned our shipping world upside down because the new rules were confusing and very different from UPS and FedEx.
Some of our most popular items (such as bubble wrap and packing peanuts) had to be reconfigured for shipping purposes. For example, this was the first time we introduced our 3-1/2 cu ft bag of peanuts. Prior to this, we shipped our 4-1/2 cu ft bags via Priority Mail. By making our bags a little smaller, we were able to ship via First Class.
Ever since, packing peanuts have been one of our most popular and highest selling products!
